For the start of the new school year I wanted to make special composition book covers for my granddaughters. I found a very detailed step by step video on YouTube showing how to make one with a partial vinyl zippered pocket. On her website she gives a free downloadable cutting diagram but not written step by step. I loved the idea of the zippered pocket but not the vinyl so I figured out how to do that. Here is the first one finished.
I have already made a second and look forward to making more.
Wednesday I was going through a box of scraps and found a 10 year old bag of leftovers from a friend's wall-hanging project. I decided to play and make them into a small quilt. Started with these larger leftover panel pieces and some leftover fabric strips.
This morning I have the center pieced.
I'm linking up for Alycia's Finished (or not) Friday.
Stay safe and healthy while enjoying some time sewing and quilting.
I love that idea for a zippered notebook cover!! they will LOVE them!
