I did lots of prep work, sewing and quilting this week. The weather has been cooler and I spent a few mornings working in the yard. Of course, there is always plenty to do. I made an unplanned trip to the mountains to help my sister with her Fiber art group's booth Saturday at “Art on the Mountain” in West Jefferson, NC. It was a fun day.
In
the sewing room I cut and prepared 4 charity quilt kits. The fabric
was donated and only one piece came from my stash so most is not
counted in my Stash Report. One morning Joan and I met to sew and
stuff shelter cat beds. We finished 8 and several more are in
progress. We have plenty of scraps to stuff many more when we take
time to cut and sew the covers.
How I did on my goals for last week:
1.
Quilt more on “Celtic Fantasy”. Done.
Quilting
is progressing.
2.
Make progress on a UFO. Finished.I
chose my “Fall Memories -2” wall-hanging to work on. It is #2 because I used the same pattern to make one for my son and DIL. I would even like to make a tablerunner to go with it. The top was
ready to be quilted. It is a Laundry Basket Quilts pattern and all
fusible applique. I did FM straight stitch along the edge of each
piece and then added veins on leaves, etc. I quilted swirls in the
background and finished hand sewing the binding Sunday evening.
3. Work on fall theme mug rugs for homebound. Done. I have 8 tops made.
Stash Report for 2023
this
past week- Used: 2 yds Added: 0 yds
So
far this year- Used: 79.21 yds Added: 40 yds

Goals for this week are the same as last except I will choose another UFO to work on.

Quilt more on “Celtic Fantasy”.
2.

3.

I've linked up with Alycia's Finished or Not Friday. Check out the inspiration.
Have a great week and enjoy some time for quilting.
I made the same quilt as your picture. It is one of my favorites! I hope to make the similar quilt with the tulips (Laundry Basket pattern also). Hope I can get it done before Spring!! Great finish!! Cheers to you!
