My Part Finished on Two

Last week was a special time with family as my older granddaughter finished high school and the younger one finished eighth grade. I am very proud of both girls and their hard work in school.

The older GD plans to attend the University of Georgia and has asked for a scrappy GA quilt for the dorm so of course I had to pick up a couple of additional fabrics for the quilt.

In between family times I was able to piece all the “Harvest Junction” blocks into a top. Another member now has it to quilt. This is the third project for the church parlor.

“Stepping Stones”, the second wall-hanging for the church parlor, was pieced by Joan and she asked me to quilt it. Here is the finished quilt.

With my other sewing time I pieced 48 neutral uneven 4 patch blocks that I plan to use as the background for an applique quilt using Anna Maria Parry's templates from her book Anna Maria's Blueprint Quilting I used the templates to make a comfort quilt for my church and loved it so much I want to make one for myself.  You can see it here.
