I have been asked to demo in August how to add a faux flange binding. When I first learned the technique years ago, it was called a “2 color binding”. Today some call it simply a flange binding. Using a flange binding can add a “pop” of color to the binding. I decided to make several placemats for the demo. Afterwards the samples can go to Meals on Wheels clients and I could use scraps of fabric in my stash. Here are some in stages to show the steps.
In Friday's post I shared a finish and other quilt project progress. I have another sandwiched quilt top waiting for quilting; however, most of my days this week will be filled with Art and Bible Camp.
Stash Report for 2025
Have a great week and enjoy some time for quilting.
