A Finished Top

We enjoyed lovely weather last week. Although dry, the temperature was good for working in the yard and preparing my spring garden. I spent most mornings working outdoors.

For my sewing time I worked mostly on the cross wall-hanging for church. The pattern is “Farmhouse Cross” by QuiltFox Design and is about 46” by 60”. I used a kit of fabric that was purchased by a friend for a different wall-hanging and I'm happy it worked well for this design. Our church quilt group was asked to make quilted wall-hangings for a wall in the parlor so this will be one. There were many seams and points to match even with some strip set piecing so much time was spent pressing and pinning with some unsewing and resewing. Happily now it is a pieced top.

I hope to work outside in the mornings a couple of days this week and then spend the afternoons quilting. Maybe I will finish a quilt to show next week.

Have a great week and enjoy sewing, quilting and creating.
